The Fairy Queen

Fairy Queen

Upon a tulip's petal,

Reaching for the golden sun,

Stands the queen of all fairies-

Directing summertime fun.

She tells the bowing flowers

When budding limbs should bloom,

And how far away to move

So everyone has room.

She speaks to the buzzing bees,

Cares for the youngest trees--

Her glistening wings beckon

The tender breath of the breeze.

All season long, she works hard--

Never seen by eyes alone,

She brightens each special day

From her tulip's petal throne.
